I am Julius Santos and I own and write for Private Corner. It all started when I was still studying in college, way back when blogging was still some online journal to write your rants and raves about (think it’s still that way, only mor refined). I created blogs whenever I felt like and deleted them the moment I became bored.

My first ever serious blog was created late last 2008. I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure in May 2003 and started Hemodialysis treatment in September the same year. After five years or coping with my illness, I decided it’s about time to write something about my experiences with my medical condition.

So I created Dialysis Postings. It’s my journal about kidney failure and dialysis. I write about my experience as someone currently living and fighting with the disease, sharing information that I hope would be both useful and helpful to readers, patient and non-patient alike.

Dialysis Postings started with Blogger’s platform, since I don’t have any money to buy my own domain and web hosting, and it seems like a decent platform enough. I only managed to transfer it to its own domain through the Budding Bloggers program.

Now, armed with enough knowledge and experience (and some money as well), I created Private Corner. It’s my personal blog so it very much reflects my thoughts, insights, and opinions on blogging, life, society, family, culture, personal development, and pretty much everything that I feel I have something to say.

What Niche Is It In?

Generic, I might say, like most personal blogs are. I write here about blogging, life, arts and design, and my usual ramblings in everyday life. So I might post about my dog’s feelings or the eating habits of neighbor’s cat and wouldn’t consider it as off-topic.

Do I Expect Making Money with this Blog?

I damn well hope so! Haha. But it really doesn’t matter. What’s important is that I get the chance to write about things and stuff, mostly the ones I like and care about. The chance to ramble through writing, since this is the only form I’m able to do so for I am not a talkative person. Most of all, I’m having the chance to interact with other bloggers, hearing their thoughts through comments, giving their opinions on things, and getting to visit their blogs and see what they write about. That for me is some form of satisfaction money can’t buy.

What Could You Expect from this Blog?

Private Corner is my personal blog so I write articles that mostly interests me, like blogging, writing, life, society and culture, books, and personal development. I’m also an opinionated person so you would definitely find me sharing my point of views here, there, and everywhere in this blog.

I hope you would enjoy the stuff you read here as much as I enjoy making them.
